To actually do something with the data and the components the user can put any desired data objects in a 'Container' and connect the container to a 'Core' in a run. The screenshot shows the run editor that displays the content of the container on the left and the content of the selected core (groups, modules, components) on the right.

To have a data object in the container processed by a component, the user simply drags and drops the item on the desired component. If the component produces an output as a result of this action, it is immediately placed in the container and can now be used as the input to another component.
